《네이단 콜리: You Will What You Imagine》
포항시립미술관은 동시대 국제 미술의 흐름을 국내에 소개하는 전시의 일환으로 네이단 콜리의 아시아 최초 대규모 개인전을 개최합니다. 이번 전시는 동서고금에서 ‘수집한’ 문장을 유원지 전구와 라이트 박스, 서부극의 촬영 세트 등의 요소와 결합하여 공적의 영역에서 믿음의 형태를 드러내고 이것이 우리의 인식 구조에 다시 영향을 미치는 과정을 흥미롭게 조명합니다. 특히 보는 이의 자유로운 해석이 가능한 그의 시적 언어들은 도덕적 불확실성의 시대, 방향성을 상실한 이들에게 따듯한 희망을 제시할 것입니다. 미래를 향한 긍정과 참여의 장이 될 《네이단 콜리: 마음이 그려낸 풍경》에 여러분 모두를 초대합니다.
Pohang Museum of Steel Art (POMA) is proud to present Asia’s first major solo exhibition in Asia by Nathan Coley, as part of our ongoing mission to introduce contemporary international art to Korea. This exhibition features 'collected' phrases from across time and cultures, brilliantly combined with elements such as fairground lights, lightboxes, and Western film sets. Coley’s work explores how forms of belief manifest in the public sphere and how they, in turn, shape our perception of reality. His poetic language invites open interpretation, offering a warm sense of hope to those navigating an era of moral uncertainty and lost direction. We cordially invite you to Nathan Coley: You Will What You Imagine, a space for positive engagement and a vision for the future.
